Job Summary

Houston City Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Operations Director to lead the planning, execution, and implementation of initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency, advisor and client experience, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Lead efforts to document and redesign workflows to improve quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and control.
  • Project/Change Management: Lead or assist in operational projects, including system upgrades, operational and compliance efforts, and process enhancements.
  • Technology Adoption Leadership: Drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency through digital solutions.
  • Systems Coordination: Oversee critical functionality, maintenance, and integration of SaaS vendor platforms, including user support and training.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate client and account data, ensuring integrity and confidentiality.
  • KPI Reporting and Management: Optimize reporting standardization from data collection, validation, report preparation, analysis, and presentation.
  • Growth Implementation: Support growth initiatives through due diligence and client asset transition coordination.
  • Fee Billing: Manage fee billing processes for accuracy, timelines, and optimization.
  • Performance Reporting Support: Generate and analyze performance reports for investment decision support.
  • Client Servicing: Collaborate with Financial Advisors and client service teams to deliver exceptional client support.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks through effective controls.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or related field; advanced certifications preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Financial Services and/or Wealth Management operations support experience.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and drive successful transitions within an organization.
  • Experience with industry-specific fee billing and performance reporting details is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software/systems (custodian platforms, portfolio management, financial planning, CRMs).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess a data-driven and analytical mindset, with the ability to make informed business decisions based on analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Adaptability and commitment to professionalism and client service.
