As a member of the Providence team, you will utilize your specialized expertise to provide outstanding healthcare with a personal touch, making a meaningful impact through your exceptional care.
- Nursing Professional Practice: Evaluates, identifies, and formulates appropriate nursing diagnoses, plans, implements, and assesses patient care. Develops and coordinates the patient's care plan to meet patient objectives and enhance outcomes across the care continuum. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status as necessary.
- Advocacy: Champions ethical and comprehensive care by collaborating in care planning to uphold the autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of those we serve.
- Facilitation of Learning: Creates a learning atmosphere for patients/families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members, including students; promotes both formal and informal education for patients/families and the healthcare team.
- Commitment to Safety and Quality: Responsible for safety, identifies and rectifies issues, and integrates evidence-based practices into nursing care; employs data to enhance patient outcomes. Prioritizes patient safety, personal safety, and environmental safety equally for optimal results.
- Professional Development: Engages in continuous professional growth; practices within the legal scope of the Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Social Policy Statement, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and specialty standards. Encourages a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates, and disseminates research and evidence-based practices.
- Leadership in Practice and Community: Guides and coordinates teams, appropriately delegates tasks, collaborates with peers as equal members of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursing knowledge. Exemplifies professional behavior as a representative of the nursing profession.
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Provider PALS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting.
