Position Overview

Core Objective: Collaborate effectively with the Medical Director and the healthcare team to oversee the nursing aspects of the residential treatment program. Lead, mentor, and assess all nursing personnel while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards set forth by relevant agencies.

Required Credentials: Valid NYS Registered Nurse License or NYS Nurse Practitioner License along with CPR certification.

Experience Criteria: A minimum of five years in nursing, with at least three years in a supervisory or similar role. Experience in substance use disorder treatment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide clinical guidance to nursing personnel, ensuring that intake processes, treatment documentation, and discharge planning adhere to established protocols and are completed promptly.
  2. Oversee, mentor, and evaluate program staff to ensure compliance with all operational standards and regulations.
  3. Guide intake medical personnel in client assessments, gathering essential admission data, and monitoring both physical and mental health as it pertains to potential clients.
  4. Evaluate clients for medically supervised withdrawal services appropriate for stabilization care.
  5. Conduct regular visits to residential facilities to support medical staff.
  6. Facilitate the integration of services within the residential programs to maintain high-quality care.
  7. Ensure ongoing compliance with medical policies and procedures within the residential framework.
  8. Assist the Medical Director and medical staff in preparing for regulatory reviews and inspections as necessary.
  9. Guarantee the confidentiality and safety of all clients and the facility.
  10. Prepare required reports and documentation as needed.
  11. Manage and report incidents in accordance with the established incident reporting protocols.
  12. Communicate with local emergency services as required.
  13. Participate in mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
