Manufacturing Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance functions at the Richmond Chemical Plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and administer all aspects of manufacturing maintenance activities, including daily management, prioritization, and execution of maintenance requests and preventative maintenance work orders.
- Maintain electronic maintenance planning systems and set work assignments for a team of 4-6 direct reports, as well as interface with the Corporate Facilities Maintenance team to prioritize and schedule work.
- Prepare and review relevant maintenance metrics to drive improvement in areas such as "time on tools," adherence to budget, uptime/OEE, and calibration performance.
- Develop, implement, manage, and sustain all maintenance programs, including preventative maintenance, spare parts, calibration, planning, and scheduling.
- Plan, staff, and manage equipment projects to achieve safe, efficient execution and effective communication between work streams.
- Drive improvements in departmental and site-wide EHS programs, 5S/housekeeping standards, and contractor management, ensuring all work meets regulatory and corporate standards.
- Provide leadership and development to plant maintenance personnel, setting expectations and holding employees accountable for performance and professional behavior.
- Ensure resources are available for routine and emergency manufacturing support, balancing this against deliverables for strategic projects and continuous improvement goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of manufacturing maintenance, developing a strong understanding of equipment, creating equipment plans, and implementing sparing strategies to reduce unexpected downtime and meet business continuity needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Production, EHS, Quality Control, and Facilities, to prioritize actions and projects.
- Continuously evaluate service provider performance for compliance with service contracts and established company performance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Engineering, or Associates degree/technical certification with relevant experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience and 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of project management, facility management/planning, GMP/ISO regulated manufacturing experience, and knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes and regulations.
- Strong instrumentation and electrical skills, along with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of industrial equipment.
- Working knowledge of equipment maintenance, calibration systems, and validation processes, with preference given to candidates with previous experience with the equipment, instrumentation, and automation systems on site.
- Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and SAP, with ability to train and develop subordinate technical skills and team in continuous improvement and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with proven analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to make sound business decisions.
- Practical Continuous Improvement experience, GPM/TPM Lean/Six Sigma experience required, with preference for leading Kaizens, root cause analysis, or other CI activities.
