About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer - Tunneling Specialist to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing tunnels and shafts in various ground conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering and analysis for the design of tunnels and shafts in soft ground, mixed conditions, and rock.
  • Use various tunnel construction methods such as drill and blast, sequential excavation method (SEM), or TBM.
  • Perform 3-D soil-structure interaction analysis, geotechnical analysis, and dynamic analysis using advanced finite element software.
  • Prepare detailed calculations, design drawings, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with Technical Leads, Project Directors, Project Managers, design team, BIM/CADD team, and more.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with a mix of underground structure projects.
  • Experience with Tunneling.
  • Additional Qualifications for Sr: Tunnel Design experience, experience with various tunneling methods, and proficiency with tunnel analysis and design software.
