We are seeking a talented and dedicated Orthopedic Spine Unit Nursing Resident to join our team at Reston Hospital Center. As an RN Resident, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that is committed to providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to start your nursing career as a paid resident. You will work closely with experienced nurses and nurse educators to develop valuable clinical and critical thinking skills. Our comprehensive residency program includes advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, and hands-on simulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting administration of care in the patient medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitoring patients for therapeutic response, and notifying providers and intervening as needed.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs, and resolving them proactively.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects, ensuring complete understanding.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment.
  • Other certifications may be required during employment.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
  • No previous experience is necessary.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
