Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Baker to join our team at El Super in Reno. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking high volume bakery products using standardized recipes. You will also perform other related preparation and sanitation duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Meet productivity and quality standards
• Collaborate with the Bakery Manager to ensure smooth operation of the bakery

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or related field
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, with frequent exposure to flour, sugar, and other ingredients. Essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers an estimated hourly rate of $18-$20 per hour, depending on location. Additionally, all positions related to food handling and serving require a Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification.
