Job Overview

The Residential Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Project Management Team with the planning and execution of various high-density residential and mixed-use projects.

This position will report to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, working closely with the team to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager
  • Supporting subcontractor requests for information (RFIs) and supplying project submittals
  • Ensuring subcontractor contract compliance related to timely supply of information and materials
  • Assisting in the preparation, updating, and distribution of project meeting agendas, minutes, logs, and monthly reports
Preconstruction Services
  • Logging, controlling, and distributing contract drawings
  • Setting up the job management system
  • Preparing subcontractor scopes of work, bid packages, and identifying subcontractors and suppliers
  • Conducting constructability reviews of construction documentation
Project Start-up, Construction, and Close-out
  • Developing and implementing the site utilization plan
  • Reviewing and coordinating the Project Safety and Loss Prevention and Quality Control Program
  • Holding pre-work subcontractor orientation meetings and documenting material deliveries, site-specific safety, and quality issues
  • Processing submittal data and shop drawings to ensure project schedules are expedited and materials are delivered on time
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of project engineer experience or other construction-related trade experience is desirable
