Head Baker

Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Hotel, seeks a skilled Head Baker to join our high-energy culinary team on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

• Prepare and bake a variety of menu items, including breads, pastries, cookies, and cakes, for our restaurants and banquets.
• Maintain high-quality food products and presentation, adhering to portion sizes, recipes, and kitchen procedures.
• Ensure proper food stock and cleanliness of workstations and equipment, and handle, store, and rotate products effectively.
• Assist with food prep and closing kitchen duties as needed, and report food waste.
• Manage a diverse team, foster a healthy and creative environment, and participate in team meetings.

• 2+ years of culinary experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with co-workers and management personnel.
• Ability to follow recipes, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks, with familiarity with banquet orders and event contracts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
