We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Walgreens in Anchorage, AK. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Experience: Engage with patients by providing empathetic and personalized care, resolving issues in a timely manner, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Operations: Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions, and perform tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
  • People & Performance Management: Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff hiring and training, and promote teamwork and motivates team members by establishing expectations and recognizing progress.
Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
