Job Title: Executive Director

Habitat for Humanity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our affiliate in North Platte, Nebraska. As the chief administrator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of affiliate operations, including administration, resource development, and public relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures for the affiliate and ReStore.
  • Manage talent within all affiliate operations by recruiting, retaining, developing, and overseeing the paid and volunteer staff.
  • Provide oversight to Habitat ReStore by coordinating with the ReStore Manager to ensure that the policies, procedures, goals, and mission of the ReStore are effectively carried out.
  • Support the board of directors in making fundamental decisions, preparing strategic plans, and creating/maintaining policies.
  • Authorize expenditures within the guidelines set by the Board of Directors.
  • Work with the board to establish which decisions the board wants to be consulted for and which decisions should be left to staff and committees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience, with at least 5 years experience in not-for-profit management or other relevant management experience.
  • Business acumen, fundraising, leadership, and public relations skills and abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the organization's mission, values, and goals.
  • Organized, able to meet deadlines, and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
