We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiation Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify treatment plans and ensure accuracy of immobilization, laser lines, marks, and treatment parameters.
- Deliver radiation treatments to patients, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless treatment delivery.
- Perform daily equipment warm-ups, weekly or bi-weekly maintenance, and machine output checks to ensure optimal equipment function.
- Assist with simulation procedures, including patient set-ups, designing and fabricating patient immobilization and shielding devices, and CT set-ups when necessary.
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and efficiently.
- Associates Degree of Applied Science or certificate in Radiological Technology with a certificate in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- Registration and Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists in the specific discipline of Radiation Therapy.
- Maintain licensure by the State of Mississippi.
- Maintain CPR Certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of serving adult and geriatric population.
