Our client, a pioneering company in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive financial excellence and strategic growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced company and make a lasting impact on its future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Finance department, overseeing Capital Markets, Project Finance, FP&A, and Administrative Accounting.
  • Develop and execute strategies for capital raising and investor relations management.
  • Oversee structured finance, financial planning, cash management, tax and accounting, risk management, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to shape and implement company strategies and goals.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the finance team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions and capital providers.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the finance team, and manage performance reviews.
  • Ensure robust governance structures to enhance operational execution and shareholder value.
  • Direct due diligence, term sheet negotiations, and documentation with finance providers.
  • Implement financial processes for performance management, strategic planning, and profitability analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Develop financial strategies to support company growth and sustainability.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to guide business decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead financial due diligence for potential acquisitions and partnerships.
  • Manage financial risks such as currency fluctuations and commodity price changes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, MFA, and/or CPA highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of successful experience as a senior-level executive.
  • 10+ years in progressively responsible financial and operational leadership roles, ideally in the energy sector.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse stakeholder groups, including the executive team, partners, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the executive team.
  • Initiative, persistence, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in capital markets, financial partner relationships, and transaction execution.
  • Prior experience with M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration.
  • Experience with early- to mid-stage funding strategies and employee compensation models.
