Department Overview

The Technology teams at DISH are dedicated to challenging conventional approaches and rethinking capabilities across various sectors. Through research, technological advancements, and engineering solutions, our professionals play crucial roles in linking consumers with the innovative products and platforms of the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee CI and CD tools and processes across multiple business divisions.
  • Enhance automation throughout all phases of software development, deployment, operations, and maintenance.
  • Engage in discussions with diverse teams to generate new ideas and enhance development delivery.
  • Investigate open-source technologies to address automation challenges.
  • Offer technical direction and educate Development teams on CI/CD, automation toolsets, and methodologies.
  • Manage the DevOps responsibilities for the APIGEE platform.
  • Support and improve existing tools, platforms, and processes, including Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, and Bash scripting.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the IT sector.
Skills and Expertise:
  • Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Rancher, and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and a DevOps culture, including GitLab CI, Jenkins, and Helm.
  • Familiarity with software development frameworks and languages such as Spring, Java, Go, PHP, and Python.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and Bash scripting.
  • Working knowledge of AWS.
  • Experience with infrastructure and configuration as code solutions, including Terraform, Ansible, or Cloudinit.
  • Highly motivated, diligent, and hardworking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with all management levels.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Solid software development skills, strong analytical capabilities, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
Compensation

Salary range: $110,100.00 - $140,000.00 per year.
