Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean and in good working order, performing regular maintenance checks and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with hospital staff to receive relevant data and instructions, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Inspect vehicles before each use, identifying any potential safety hazards and reporting them to management.
  • Assist with patient transfers and balancing, prioritizing their physical and emotional comfort.
  • Follow all patient safety and vehicle safety requirements, applying appropriate PPE as needed.
  • Notify staff of any changes in patient condition or behavior, ensuring prompt attention and care.
  • Work effectively in inclement weather and other staffing emergencies, maintaining a safe and efficient transportation service.
  • Provide a safe and respectful environment for patients, visitors, and staff, assessing and mitigating potential safety risks.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification required.
  • At least six months of van transport experience preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Physical Demands

This role requires a significant amount of sitting, driving, and reaching, often for prolonged periods. You will also be required to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
