Job Overview

Position Summary

The Workforce Analytics (WFA) Analyst will operate under the guidance of the Director of Workforce Analytics, focusing on labor forecasting, data analysis, standards establishment, consistency, and budgetary support across various property locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Utilize MS Excel for managing extensive datasets, data manipulation, and reporting.
  • Effectively communicate data trends into actionable insights to aid in decision-making and change management.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Management (WFM) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams to facilitate labor analytics, utilization, deployment, control, scheduling, and overall management.
  • Enhance existing WFA functions by improving reporting efficiency, analytics, and effectiveness based on identified impacts.
  • Investigate and potentially develop a Business Intelligence component.
  • Create dashboards for real-time operational use and historical data visualization.
  • Prepare and review weekly Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) reports for all property locations.
  • Assist in establishing productivity standards for labor positions in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Contribute to the development of base drivers (Key Volume Indicators or KVIs) for labor standards for each position.
  • Ensure uniformity in labor reporting practices, policies, and procedures across all properties.
  • Analyze scheduling methodologies.
  • Coordinate the deployment of labor and scheduling systems with property locations.
  • Review and analyze daily operational reports from properties.
  • Provide hands-on support for labor planning and analysis across all locations.
  • Assist in budgeting efforts to meet established productivity standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the CFO or Senior Vice President of Finance.

Qualifications

Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and/or Database Science (such as SQL and/or Python) is preferred, along with proficiency in dashboard creation (e.g., Tableau and/or MS Power BI).

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and database analysis is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • An MBA is advantageous.
  • Experience in a Finance Department, particularly in Financial and Labor Analysis, is a plus.
  • A commitment to the principle of "doing whatever it takes" is essential.

Work Environment:

We prioritize maintaining a healthy work-life balance for all employees. However, given the nature of the service and entertainment industry, flexibility in work hours may be necessary based on business needs.

While most duties are performed in a professional office environment, occasional presence on the Casino Floor may be required, exposing employees to various environmental factors.

Job responsibilities may involve frequent standing, walking, and handling objects, with the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
