Job Summary

The Assembler I is a key member of our manufacturing team, responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and group leaders. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, using a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools to assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto JLG products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble equipment components, including parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics, using safe and proper tools and techniques.
  • Work effectively across all work stations in assigned job function, assisting in the training of new team members and demonstrating ability to use and train on all electronic devices.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety procedures, rules, and 6S standards.
  • Operate all units produced in assigned job function, demonstrating ability to troubleshoot various components of a machine.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) or more years of relevant experience in manufacturing or general labor.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to drive and test machines, or conduct offline inspection on all machines in assigned facility.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Frequent hearing, talking, visual, standing, walking/running, reaching, driving, fine dexterity, manual dexterity, upper extremity repetitive motion; occasional climbing, bending/kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 40lbs., pushing/pulling up to 40lbs.; seldom typing, sitting.
  • Non-Physical Demands: Frequent analysis/reasoning, communication/interpretation, reading; occasional sustained mental activity, writing; seldom math/mental computation.
  • Environmental Demands: Frequent work alone, task changes, dust, temperature extremes, loud noises; occasional tedious/exacting work; seldom high volume public contact, physical danger, toxic substances.
  • Work Schedule: Considerable irregularity of hours due to frequent overtime, weekend or shift rotation.
  • Demands/Deadlines: Occasional stress due to deadlines or workload because of intermittent or cyclical work pressures, or occasional exposure to distressed individuals within the immediate work environment.
