Job Summary

National Power, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman to join our team. As an Electrical Journeyman, you will play a crucial role in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Skillfully terminate electrical panels, circuit breakers, and transformers, ensuring proper connections and compliance with electrical codes.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and manufacturer's specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of project requirements.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and grounding systems, including measuring, and recording voltages, amperages, and resistances. Use a thermal imaging camera to verify and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Inspect electrical components for wear and corrosion.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and devices effectively, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Complete all job-related documentation in detail, including project reports, installation records, and other relevant paperwork. Submit completed documentation to the local manager.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and execution of electrical installations.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED; Completion of four-year electrical apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Possess 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical installation, covering Tenant Improvements (TI's) and Ground-Up Construction from project initiation to completion.
  • Journeyman Certification is required.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with OSHA and NFPA70 regulations, as well as standard electrical safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to give verbal/written reports of job status, repair recommendations, equipment/supplies needed.
  • Excellent driving record and a valid driver's license. The job will require driving long distances to job sites. Overnight stays in hotels up to 3 nights per week are required. The company will cover hotel costs and provide a meal allowance per company guidelines.
  • Good computer skills and comfort with Microsoft software to include Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Adobe (PDF's).
