About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior to join our team at Elliott Davis. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in the audit process, from planning to completion, for our clients as part of our annual audit plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Audits: Plan, supervise, and perform financial statement audits for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Client Relationships: Build trust-based relationships with clients by developing a comprehensive knowledge of their business, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations.
  • Internal Control Systems: Evaluate clients' internal control systems, identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations to enhance processes, accounting systems, control structures, and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, audit reports, budget and cash flow analyses, and special reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Engagement Management: Actively monitor engagement economics, managing budgets and seeking efficiencies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Staff Development: Teach, develop, and oversee staff throughout engagements, delegating assignments and tasks, and providing honest, objective, and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
  • Business Development: Collaborate to identify and sell opportunities among existing clients, serving as a mentor and role model through active participation in firm committees, departmental matters, and events.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: 2+ years of recent public accounting experience.
  • Certifications: CPA certification or significant progress toward certification.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, effective listening skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, and strong time and work management skills.
