Job Summary

We are seeking a progressive and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial aspects of our current 10-year plan and beyond. The CFO will be a senior member of our executive leadership team and will serve as a business partner to the CEO and executive team. The CFO will be responsible for the planning, implementation, management, and control of the accounting, treasury, and finance activities, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic/long-range business planning, and negotiations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to the CEO and advise on long-term business, financial, and administrative strategies.
  2. Be the subject matter expert on company financial matters and a key contributor in business discussions, impacts, and initiatives.
  3. Create, direct, and approve policies and processes for accounts receivable, credit and collections, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
  4. Manage the processes for financial forecasting and planning, budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
  5. Develop, implement, and maintain accurate, timely, and robust systems for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and control.
  6. Ensure system output is well-structured, reliable, and easily understood.
  7. Monitor and assess ongoing performance against company financial objectives.
  8. Oversee the coordination of financial reporting and the proper filing of tax returns.
  9. Actively monitor financial risks and ensure that risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  10. Provide monthly communications and required presentations to the CEO.
  11. Coordinate corporate consolidation in accordance with US GAAP on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including annual audit by an outside CPA firm.
  12. Manage treasury, financing, cash management, and banking relations, including day-to-day operating activities, as well as credit and loan activities and reporting requirements.
  13. Responsibility for the corporate costing methodology, including the allocation of corporate and plant overhead costs in establishing machine-level and product standard costs.
  14. Provide leadership, direction, and management of the Accounting/Finance and Information Technology teams, including approval of related processes and procedures.
  15. M&A activities, including due diligence, recommendations on purchase negotiations, and acquired entity integration.
  16. Develop and deploy enterprise-wide ESG standards.
  17. Establish corporate policy and procedures to ensure regulatory reporting and internal control compliance in all areas of the company.
  18. Review, prepare, and negotiate supplier, customer, service provider, and Health, Property, and Casualty insurance contracts and related claims.
  19. Establish and develop relations with external professional partners in private and public sectors.
  20. Assist sales executives by reviewing significant customer pricing programs.
  21. Oversee 401(k) Plan advisors and investment options on behalf of participants, as fiduciary of the Plan.
  22. Accountable to ensure that all data and protected information always remains confidential and is available only to those who have a need to know.
  23. Ensure stewardship of financial resources, that they are used wisely while protecting the assets of the corporation, to further the purpose of the corporation and produce benefits commensurate with the size of the expenditure, investment, and the level of risk.
  24. Provide retrospective and projected business analysis to gain insight into corporate decisions.
  25. Provide leadership in the corporate strategic planning process and its outcome.
  26. Advise and assist others in their efforts to implement and accept change.
  27. Maintain an example of dedication, commitment, and integrity for all with whom they work.
  28. Responsibility for maintaining a competitive and cost-effective employee benefit program, including 401(k), 401(k) matching, Health & Welfare Insurances, Employee Assistance Program, Flexible Spending Account, Paid Time Off, etc.
  29. Management and involvement in large-scale company projects.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or another relevant field is required, along with an MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as CFO, finance officer, or relevant role, preferably within a company in the $75M - $100M revenue range.
  • Proven track record of successfully scaling companies.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and financial management software.
