Operations Superintendent

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Superintendent to join our team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. This role will play a critical part in coordinating all operations supervisors onsite, creating strategies to accomplish customer needs, and working closely with the Operations Manager to achieve safety, quality, and productivity KPIs.

• Coordinate all operations supervisors onsite to ensure seamless execution of daily operations.
• Create strategies to accomplish customer needs and drive business growth.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to achieve safety, quality, and productivity KPIs.
• Support the Operations Manager in managing new requirements from Ford Logistics and Ford Cuautitlan Assembly Plant.
• Collaborate with the HR department to create strategies to prevent turnover and absenteeism.
• Act as a link between operations and quality and safety departments.
• Focus on creating best practices to accomplish financial objectives.
• Develop and implement monthly planning according to production plans shared by customers.

• 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably as an operations chief or senior operations supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
• Experience in assembly line operations, with a focus on automotive or mechanical applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database navigation skills.
• A 4-year degree in a relevant field.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• English language proficiency at an intermediate level.
