The Senior Accountant will oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, conduct account reconciliations, and prepare comprehensive financial reports. This position demands a high level of accuracy and efficiency in maintaining accounting records, along with the ability to analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely completion.
  • Perform routine accounting tasks, including the preparation and recording of financial entries.
  • Identify discrepancies and work towards resolution.
  • Generate and distribute monthly financial and operational reports.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations and communicate any variances to management.
  • Review daily business transaction reports, including cash flow, accounts payable, and bookings.
  • Process weekly payroll for plant personnel and submit necessary data for corporate processing.
  • Manage product costing in the ERP system for new and existing products.
  • Reconcile cash transactions and accounts receivable, addressing any issues with customers as needed.
  • Oversee petty cash and purchasing card transactions, ensuring accurate coding and reconciliation.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests, contributing to budget preparation and team support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience with ERP systems is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.

Experience Required:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience is required.
