Food Processing Operations Leader

Position Overview: John Evans Recruiting is conducting a confidential search for an Operations Manager for a prominent food processing company. This organization has established a strong presence in the industry and caters to a diverse clientele, including major retailers and renowned restaurants.

Key Responsibilities: The Operations Manager will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency of the processing, packaging, and distribution of both fresh and frozen food products arriving at the facility from various global sources.

The role includes overseeing a workforce of 80 employees across three shifts, with the support of 2-3 Supervisors. While the core working hours are from 7am to 3pm, the Operations Manager must be available overnight as necessary and may also need to work on Saturdays.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in operations management.
  • A minimum of 5 years in high-volume food and/or beverage processing.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large teams within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong expertise in process optimization and data analysis.
  • A solid sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a cold and wet facility environment while on your feet.
