Patient Access Coordinator

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure seamless access to hospital services.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and medical information for accurate registration
- Perform insurance verification, data collection, and documentation to ensure compliance with federal and third-party payor requirements
- Determine medical necessity for services based on established medical criteria
- Identify patient financial responsibilities and collect applicable monies
- Act as liaison to internal and external customers to facilitate access to hospital services
- Minimum 2 years' experience with hospital insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, and PPOs
- Excellent typing and computer skills
- Familiarity with area managed care plans and contractual terms
- Two to four years of healthcare experience in the outpatient setting
- Knowledge of outpatient procedures and medical terminology
