Position Overview:

The Assistant Vice President of Financial Solutions is a highly experienced professional role. This position requires the application of extensive disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the innovation of new methodologies and the enhancement of processes and workflows within the finance sector.

Integrating subject matter expertise and industry knowledge, this role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of how various areas collaborate within the sub-function, as well as the ability to coordinate and support the objectives of the overall business.

It involves evaluating moderately complex issues with significant potential impact, where the development of strategies and actions requires careful consideration of various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using diverse sources of information.

Strong analytical skills are essential to filter, prioritize, and validate complex and dynamic information from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required, as the role frequently assumes both informal and formal leadership responsibilities within teams. This position also plays a crucial role in mentoring and training new team members.


Key Responsibilities:


- Contributes to the design, implementation, and governance of financial solutions, including:

  • Formulating and establishing strategic direction for finance processes, organization, and architecture across various Citi businesses, products, functions, and locations.
  • Assisting in the development of business and information architecture standards for finance.
  • Participating in the establishment and operation of necessary forums and frameworks to govern policies and standards for global finance processes.
  • Assessing and integrating evolving business, regulatory, and market information needs into finance processes and applications.
  • Resolving complex problems or transactions that require expertise in interpreting policies, guidelines, or processes.

- Manages one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products, serving as an analytical or procedural expert representing a unit or team on cross-functional projects.

- May oversee the daily operations of junior staff members.

- Performs additional duties and functions as assigned, demonstrating the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercising independent judgment and autonomy.

- Acts as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.

- Appropriately assesses risk in business decisions, ensuring consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment in personal conduct and business practices.


Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.

- Exceptional relational and communication skills.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- A bachelor's degree is required.
