**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead our estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for ship repair and maintenance projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare detailed and accurate estimates.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements and budgets.
  • Monitor and analyze project costs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior estimators to develop their skills and knowledge.

**Requirements**

  • Extensive experience in shipyard operations and a strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Navy Vessels and ship construction methods.
  • Experience with proposal writing and highly experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC and Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sites.
