We are seeking an experienced Commercial Excess & Surplus Broker to join our team at Novatae Risk Group. As a Wholesale Insurance Broker, you will play a crucial role in our national wholesale/brokerage for hard-to-place commercial insurance coverages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit applications and supporting documents to insurance carriers.
- Promote favorable presentations of accounts to carriers and work to obtain compelling programs.
- Market new and renewal business in conjunction with designated sales teams.
- Analyze current programs and collect necessary information.
- Order underwriting reports as needed and ensure timely quote provision.
- Solicit new business through sales and marketing techniques and establish relationships.
- Coordinate administrative workflows with support teams to respond to service issues.
- Identify opportunities for growth and cultivate new markets.
Requirements:
- Strong business writing and situation analysis skills.
- Energetic and self-motivated individuals who can thrive in a team environment and autonomously.
- Knowledge and experience of property and casualty insurance, including coverages, rating, terminology, and technical procedures.
- P&C license/E&S licenses.
- Sales-driven individuals with strong communication skills and ability to establish new relationships.
- A four-year college degree is preferred, with 1-3 years of relative experience in Wholesale Broker or MGA roles.
