Job Description

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract assignment in a healthcare facility.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions, including the insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
  • Perform timely and accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
  • Teach and counsel patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
  • Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Work Experience

At least 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
