Compressor Operator

Black Hills Energy is seeking a skilled Compressor Operator to join our team. As a key member of our Gas Operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our gathering and storage assets, ensuring the efficient performance of our pipelines and equipment.

• Start and stop compressors, monitor line pressure, and diagnose potential problems with equipment.
• Effectively use and understand our company's SCADA system.
• Perform general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment, including pipeline right-of-way.
• Participate in quality emergency responder programs and train and oversee company and third-party personnel as required.
• Perform governmental compliance activities and maintain accurate records.
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Level I: No experience required, training provided.
• Level II: Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience with automotive, diesel, or natural gas compressors or experience working within gas utility operations.
• Senior: Minimum of 4 years of mechanical experience with automotive, diesel, or natural gas compressors or experience working within gas utility operations.
