Teaching Opportunities at UMass Dartmouth

The Department of Crime and Justice Studies at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for part-time lecturers to teach a variety of courses in the program.

We are seeking individuals with expertise in Justice Studies, Criminology, Critical Race Studies, and related fields to join our faculty. The department values diversity and encourages applications from underrepresented groups.

Responsibilities include teaching core courses such as Research Methods, Social Theory, and Abolitionism, as well as elective courses in areas like Gender, Crime, and Justice, Transformative Justice, and The Prison Industrial Complex.

Minimum qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree or Master's degree in a related field, teaching experience at the college/university level, and ABD status with a Ph.D. preferred. Preferred qualifications include at least one semester of college/university teaching, experience teaching in face-to-face and online modalities, and a Ph.D. in a related field.
