About the Position

The Design Engineer at Philippi-Hagenbuch Inc. will be responsible for creating initial designs for off-highway haul truck accessories. This role requires strong communication skills to determine customer needs and collaborate with the engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform customer consultation to determine equipment needs and applications.
  • Examine previous designs and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Create and modify design drawings and related documents.
  • Collaborate with production associates to design products that are manufacturable and user-friendly.
  • Utilize technology to perform load profile assessments and capture 3D images.
Requirements
  • 1+ years' experience in a similar role designing weldments or steel fabrications.
  • 4-year engineering degree (mechanical, agricultural, mining, or relevant field) required.
  • Experience with CAD systems, especially Autodesk Inventor or similar programs required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite applications required.
  • Professional Engineering License preferred; ability to pursue licensing required.
