As the After School Program (ASP) Site Coordinator, you will work under the guidance of the Youth Program Director. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, implementing engaging programs, and fostering the growth of both youth participants and staff members. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a high standard of program quality, creating enriching experiences for youth, and building strong relationships with participants, their families, and school administrators.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for after school activities.
- Engage directly with youth, ensuring compliance with Youth Development Principles.
- Design and implement academic and enrichment programs that meet the needs of participants.
- Supervise staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess an Associate's degree or higher, or a High School diploma/equivalent with relevant qualifications.
- Availability for full-time hours, including some weekends.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in youth programming.
- At least 6 months of supervisory experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (training provided upon hire).
- Successful completion of a fingerprint background check.
- Clearance for TB testing.
- Bachelor's Degree with a teaching credential or passing score on the CBEST.
- Qualified for a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit with a focus on School-Age programs.
- Experience working within local school districts.
- Bilingual skills in languages such as Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, or Vietnamese are a plus.
