Compensation:

The successful candidate can expect an industry-competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, well above market average.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support a DHS contract in Washington, DC, specializing in hybrid cloud infrastructure, enterprise storage, high-performance computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, and at least 8 years of IT experience, including CCNA or comparable certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement computer and information networks, including Software Defined Networks (SDN), Application Analysis, and Quality of Service.
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, as well as design network and computer security measures.
  • Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
  • Experience with multi-vendor Firewalls, multi-vendor switches, and routers.
  • IPv6 engineering implementation experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Designing and implementing MPLS/VPN networks.
  • Designing and implementing SDN.
  • Designing and implementing Data Centers utilizing Virtual Switching Systems (VSS) and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
  • Knowledge with Tellabs GPON/Optical LAN Networking.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years IT experience.
  • CCNA or comparable certification desired.
