Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Upstate University Hospital. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in primary care and be certified in a relevant specialty area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to individuals and families in a variety of settings.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required.
  • NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice.
  • Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
  • Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work experience in a similar role or setting.
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification.
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $92,000 - $147,004, based on full-time, 1.0 FTE. Salaries are prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
