Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Reading Hospital Retail Pharmacies. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for evaluating, preparing, and dispensing medications, as well as providing excellent customer service and clinical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, prepare, and dispense medications according to professional standards, facility procedures, and state and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and clinical care to patients.
  • Interact closely with individual patients to answer questions and concerns regarding their medication therapy.
  • Review and evaluate patient plans of care for therapeutic appropriateness.
  • Consult with prescribers and other medical staff to determine patient medical/prescription care plans.
  • Participate in achieving business goals and metrics for the ambulatory pharmacy.
  • Assist with managing pharmacy technicians, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor pharmacy staff performance to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
  • Make recommendations to managers to improve operating procedures and patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree or Pharm D degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Current, unrestricted pharmacist license through the appropriate state board of pharmacy.
  • Broad training and/or experience in business administration, sales, marketing, information technology, and retail/ambulatory pharmacy.
  • Zero to three years of directly related and progressively responsible retail/ambulatory care pharmacy experience.
