Job Title: Store Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Store Driver to join our team at Advance Auto Parts. As a Store Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parts to our commercial customers and assisting with inventory processes in the store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely Deliver Parts: Ensure timely and safe delivery of parts to our commercial customers.
  • Pick and Stage Parts: Pick and stage parts for customer orders, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Pick Up Returns and Cores: Collect returns and cores from customers, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Drop Off Weekly/Monthly Sales Flyer: Deliver weekly/monthly sales flyers to customers, promoting our products and services.
  • Daily Collection of Credit Accounts: Collect credit accounts from customers, ensuring timely payment and maintaining a positive cash flow.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Store Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • General Stocking: Assist with general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
Success Factors:
  • Basic Driving and Navigation Ability: Possess a valid driver's license and demonstrate basic driving and navigation skills.
  • Ability to Use Delivery Board System: Effectively use the delivery board system to manage and track deliveries.
  • Friendly Communication: Develop strong relationships with customers, peers, and management through effective communication.
  • Ability to Locate and Stock Parts: Accurately locate and stock parts, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management.
  • Safety Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Operating Inventory Systems and Store Equipment: Effectively operate inventory systems and store equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
Essential Job Skills:
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop strong relationships with customers, peers, and management through effective communication.
  • Read and Interpret Documents: Accurately read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic Math Skills: Possess basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Prior Experience:

Automotive parts experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual who is eager to learn and grow with our team.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.
Physical Demands:

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is usually working inside; however, they will occasionally be outside and exposed to various weather conditions while performing such tasks as installing batteries and wiper blades. The employee is also occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation Range: $15.13 USD PER HOUR - $15.41 USD PER HOUR
