Job Summary:
National Airlines is seeking a highly skilled AOG Buyer - Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for expediting purchases and logistics for AOG - Aircraft on Ground materials requirements to keep our aircraft on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Procurement: Source aircraft parts and services from various suppliers to support AOG aircraft around the world.
- Inventory Management: Responsible for the procurement and distribution of aircraft materials, parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Shipping and Logistics: Oversee the shipping, forwarding, and routing of AOG parts to ensure timely delivery.
- Communication and Coordination: Work closely with maintenance control, onsite technicians, and other departments to ensure the correct parts are being sourced and supplied in a timely manner.
- Order Management: Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, and shipping notices to ensure smooth operations.
- Supplier Management: Continuously follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met and communicate updates through reports.
- Material Planning: Provide material planning recommendations to inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials procured meet National Airlines and FAA quality standards.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports and review summary invoices for accuracy to correct discrepancies and ensure payment terms are met.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Aviation materials and inventory experience.
- Language Skills: Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Travel: May be asked to travel domestically and internationally.
- Physical Effort: Heavy physical activity is required by handling objects up to 70 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.
Working Environment:
Office/Stockroom environment with varying work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibility.
