About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), with a strong understanding of patient assessment, care planning, and medication administration. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients with various health conditions, including pediatric patients with G-tube/Trach/Vent needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet each patient's unique needs
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • CPR certification from the American Red Cross
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
