Palliative Care Social Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Palliative Care Social Worker to join our team at Gentiva. As a member of our clinical team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive social support and education.

This role requires a strong understanding of palliative care principles, including the impact of terminal diagnosis and anticipatory grief on psychosocial functioning, family dynamics, and community relations. Requirements

  • Masters of Social Work from an accredited institution
  • Multistate licensure as a LMSW or LCSW
  • 2 years of prior social work experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in palliative care or hospice
  • Strong understanding of palliative care principles and issues related to death and dying
  • Ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
