Job Title: Behavioral Health Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Associate to join our team at Serenity Knolls. As a Behavioral Health Associate, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to our clients as they navigate the recovery process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure that supervision is conducted at 30-minute intervals, as noted in special precautions, or in accordance with individualized supervision guidelines as needed.
  • Assist in answering phone and directing calls or assisting callers, in a professional manner.
  • Alert clinical staff to client difficulties or concerns.
  • Provide therapeutic listening and guidance with clients as required.
  • Maintain appropriate verbal response with client population.
  • Exhibit initiative in doing job duties without needing constant prompting by supervisors.
  • Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, significant others and staff.
  • Transport patients for admissions, appointments and discharges.
  • Pick up or transports visitors or staff as needed.
  • Drive company facility vehicle to pick-up supplies or equipment, as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months or more experience working with chemical dependency treatment and recovery is preferred.
  • Candidates must be registered with an DHCS approved certification agency (CCAPP, CADTP, etc.) or be working toward certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
