Christie Clinic is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team in the department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT). This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm at our Bloomington on Empire clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative medicine under the supervision of a physician.
- Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients, review patient records, and interpret data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform physical exams, establish presumptive diagnoses, and order laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications, and provide patient education on health and illness prevention.
- Assist physicians with recording patient progress notes, issuing diagnostic orders, and transcribing orders.
- Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation.
- Illinois State Licensure
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
- Illinois State controlled substance license
- Successful completion of a post-basic Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program
- Successful completion of the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant exam
- Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU
This position requires working in a clinical setting with frequent exposures to sharp objects, communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Requirements may include working weekends and/or irregular hours.
