About the Position

Intuitive Machines LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our Mission Analysis Cycle (MAC) group in support of our growing Lunar Lander Team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the internally developed Mission Design Toolset (MDT)
  • Create complex mission timelines from 3DOF trajectories, payload requirements, and other constraints using advanced mathematical techniques
  • Analyze vehicle change impacts among various subsystems for current and future lunar missions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, gather inputs, and provide output
  • Present results to senior management, participate in high-level design and analysis discussions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and minimum of 5 years of experience; or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 4 years of experience
  • Expert proficiency in Python, Linux, 6DOF simulation, trajectory design, linear algebra, quaternion math, frame transformations
  • Strong familiarity with commonly used space and commercial specifications
  • Solid experience with C/C++, Trick, Bash, VSCode, Git, GitLab, SpiceyPy, Matplotlib, Numpy, Confluence, Jira, Agile, Kalman Filters, Monte Carlo, nonlinear optimization, MPI
