Job Summary

Stillwater Milling CO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Feed Mill Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation of our feed mill. This is a key leadership role that requires strong management and supervisory skills, as well as a deep understanding of feed production and quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operation of the feed mill, including ingredient receiving, feed production, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate with the scheduler to ensure efficient production and delivery of feed products.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts to ensure high-quality feed products.
  • Supervise and train Feed Mill employees, providing performance evaluations and feedback.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure optimal production and safety.
  • Manage inventory levels and develop strategies to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Oversee receiving and distribution of products, as well as incoming and outgoing rail cars.
  • Prepare loads for customers or load products onto customers' vehicles at the plant.
Requirements
  • 5 years of management or supervisory experience in a feed mill or related industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and loud noise. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds and work in a team environment.
