Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces to ensure a high level of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting and repairing grout and caulking, replacing light fixtures, and ensuring all necessary hardware and appliances are present and in working order.
  • Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms in accordance with property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
  • Perform miscellaneous minor repairs, such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
  • Conduct general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces, including tubs, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.
  • Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards to the manager/supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Less than 1 year of related work experience preferred.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No license or certification required.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
