Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Education Support Specialist. This role will provide support to students with special needs, implementing Positive Behavior Support Plans and Individual Treatment Plans in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and Assist with Behavioral Plans: Work with Behavioral Specialists to implement Positive Behavior Support Plans and Individual Treatment Plans in school, home, or community settings.
  • Support Student Development: Assist students in developing behavioral and emotional skills as specified in the PBSP.
  • Therapeutic Support: Assist caregivers and staff with addressing the therapeutic needs of students.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, enter, and graph ABA data, and compile and organize data for monthly progress review.
  • Environment Preparation: Assist school personnel in arranging the school environment to meet the physical and psychological needs of students.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with creating, copying, and grading classroom and student materials.
  • Crisis Intervention: Assist with proper crisis intervention and prevention techniques and complete appropriate forms.
  • Personal Care: Perform personal care duties, including toileting, eating, and grooming activities when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: 2 or more years' experience working with children in an educational, hospital, or home setting.
