IT Manager Job Description at Lukjan Metal Products Inc.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop corporate IT initiatives and projects aligned with our business goals, assessing technology needs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Leadership: Collaborate with management to oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, defining projects and monitoring progress through stakeholder coordination.
  • IT Operations and Support: Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and services, overseeing day-to-day operations, system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Support: Maintain software/hardware licenses and agreements, collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with external service providers.
  • EDI Oversight: Securely receive and transfer data between trading partners, enhancing EDI processes and customizing them to fit within our business systems.
  • Regular Travel: Visit all six locations to manage and support IT operations, ensuring seamless technology infrastructure across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Programming Experience: Possess experience in programming or application development, preferably with MicroFocus/ACUCOBOL (COBOL training available).
  • Windows Operating System: Intermediate to advanced understanding of Windows-based operating systems.
  • Networking Knowledge: Basic to intermediate understanding of Windows networking, internet, and hosting solutions.
  • Cybersecurity: Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and internal networking assessments.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of progressive IT management experience.
  • Skillset: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, knowledge of EDI (X12: 810, 850, 855, 856), and project management expertise.
