Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business operations, including financial performance, sales data, and customer behavior.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage data and analytics to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Design and implement data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate key insights and trends to stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain our data infrastructure, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and data quality.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure efficient data housing, transformation, and querying.
  • Develop and maintain self-service tools for end-users to explore data and insights.
  • Partner with merchandising, marketing, finance, product, and ops teams to understand their data needs and surface insights through reports and dashboards.
  • Manage end-user facing ticketing system and assign/prioritize work for the team.
  • Partner with teams to automate actions based on data and engineer creative solutions for passing data between tools.
  • Ensure data records are maintained to meet GDPR and CCPA data compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Experience with Looker or similar tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes.
  • Skilled at processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Technical familiarity with data models and database design development.
  • Comfortable editing production data and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with common statistical models and experience with R or Python.
  • Experience with Matillion, PHP, JavaScript, and AWS a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, and experience leading and mentoring.
  • Adept at query writing and strong knowledge of MySQL.
  • Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
