Position Title: Food Service Attendant

Reports To: Dining Facility Manager/Shift Lead/Supervisor

Work Shifts: Morning (5:30am/6:30am), Afternoon (11:30am/12:30pm), Midnight (8:30pm-12:30am)

Availability: Must be available on weekends

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to clients.

Accountable for sanitation and adherence to standard operational procedures (SOPs) within the dining facility.

  • Key responsibilities include pre-meal setup, assigned tasks during mealtime, and post-meal cleaning duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks and operational workloads scheduled for the shift.
  • Additional responsibilities include washing dishware, silverware, pots, and pans, along with all cleaning and sanitation tasks related to floors, walls, and windows.
  • Restock "to-go" items, dishware, and utensils on serving lines.
  • Ensure all breads, crackers, fruits, and salad bar items are replenished.
  • Maintain proper water temperatures and operational methods in the dishwashing machine throughout the washing cycle.
  • Ensure pots and pans are consistently washed, rinsed, and maintained in a sanitary condition.
  • Conduct final rinse checks using chemical test strips.
  • Ensure compliance with proper handling of sanitized flatware and dishware.
  • Keep clean, sanitized dishware and utensils available for patron use.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area; ensure tables are cleared, floors are spill-free, and condiments and beverages are regularly checked and replenished.
  • Adhere to company policies during lunch and break periods.
  • Report all accidents to management or shift leader immediately.
  • Engage in ongoing training to ensure competency for all specific tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management or shift leader.
  • Conduct all tasks in accordance with TB Med 530.
  • Cooperate with Quality Assurance Surveillance and Preventive Medicine inspections.
  • Any other duties assigned by the shift leader or management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the BCI rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Comply with all HACCP standards.
  • This job description does not restrict management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.
  • Duties may be assigned by the Supervisor, Dining Facility Manager, or Project Manager.
  • Apply basic skills and develop skills relevant to the position.
  • Focus primarily on the area of specialty.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of food preparation and familiarity with kitchen equipment, including knives, forks, measuring utensils, pots, and pans.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and move within the dining facility for 6 to 8 hours (excluding breaks).
  • Some bending and squatting may be required.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of pre-employment screening.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screening and background investigation, and meet Company standards.
