Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Year Tutor to join our TRIO Talent Search team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to middle and high school students in math, science, English, and study skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized instruction and tutoring to students in math, science, English, and study skills
  • Evaluate student progress and provide regular updates to parents and guardians
  • Serve as a liaison between middle and high school administrators and the TRIO Talent Search program
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an educational designated subject area or closely related field
  • Experience in teaching or classroom demonstration
  • Sensitivity to the needs of economically and educationally disadvantaged youth
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven track record in motivating youth from low-income, first-generation families
  • Ability to stimulate positive activity among program staff
Working Conditions

This is a temporary, part-time position with a 0.375 FTE. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background investigation and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
