Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver graduate-level courses in cybersecurity.
  • Design and refine curriculum to incorporate the latest industry practices.
  • Participate in collaborative teaching and learning initiatives.

As an affiliate faculty member, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: teaching assigned courses either in-person or online, preparing instructional materials and lesson plans, assessing student work, providing timely and constructive feedback, addressing student inquiries in accordance with university policies, and offering academic support as needed. You will also maintain office hours and adhere to university-wide policies regarding student evaluations and peer observations. Flexibility to teach in-person, online, or hybrid formats is essential, and candidates should be open to adapting to new instructional methods. Sensitivity to the educational needs of a diverse student body is crucial.

Required Qualifications

  • A doctorate in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, a master's degree in the aforementioned fields combined with a minimum of three years of industry experience in cybersecurity will be considered.
  • Proven expertise in education, technical skills, creative problem-solving, teamwork, and implementing cybersecurity solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and familiarity with national cybersecurity educational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in both industry and higher education teaching.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications.

Employment Terms

Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees engaged to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific courses, typically on a semester-by-semester basis. These positions do not qualify for benefits under the University's benefits program. All teaching assignments are contingent upon budgetary considerations and enrollment.

Qualified candidates are expected to teach in person upon hire.

Compensation

The final salary will be determined based on the number of credit hours assigned, in accordance with university policy.
